Home Made Natural Weed Killer
Looking for a natural alternative to herbicides, then this cocktail of vinegar, salt and liquid dish soap has all of the ingredients needed to quickly kill pesky weeds between paving bricks. The best part of this recipe is that these ingredients are normally available in most households.
The acetic acid in the vinegar and the salt are both very good at drawing moisture from weeds. The Liquid Dish Soap acts as a surfactant, which is an agent that will reduce the surface tension that can cause the weed-killing cocktail to bead on the leaves instead of being absorbed by the plant. On a warm, sunny day, the results of this homemade spray will be visible in a matter of hours as weeds turn brown and wither. Multiple treatments may probably be necessary for those stubborn weeds.
What you will need:
- 1200 ml White Vinegar
- ⅓ Cup Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Liquid Dish Soap
Making magic happen:
Combine ingredients in a spray bottle. Shake well and set aside for a
couple of minutes in order for the salt to dissolve. Shake again and treat
weeds at the sunniest time of day for best results.
